Desco S.p.A., active in southern Italy in the production of canned foods since 1963, specializes in semi-finished tomato-based products.
In 2008, the company built a new plant in Pontinia, central Italy, combining their years of gained experience and state-of-the-art technologies to improve the final product by increasing production efficiency. The project was led by Marco Serafini, president of Italy’s National Industrial Association of Vegetable Food Preserves and Desco’s legal representative.
Cannon Bono Energia and Desco have built a long relationship over the years. Since the 1970s, three 20t/h SG series steam generators have supported the client’s thermal production, meeting performance expectations for 50 years. Recently, we supplied two new 20 t/h SG 2000 units to replace the existing ones, allowing Desco to pursue energy consumption reduction and continuous improvement.
The customer needed to minimize natural gas consumption and optimize boiler management. Therefore, the fitting choice could only be SG HE Smart, the most efficient product from our steam generator range.
In addition to the high-efficiency configuration, the machines are equipped with a load sharing system to autonomously manage the power generated by the boilers optimizing the generator’s operation while maintaining the best condition of pressure stability for plants using steam.
After the first production batch, Desco provided feedback on using the new SG 2000 HE Smart steam generators.
